Over the last few weeks, the main supply of water to LVMWD from the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California was out of service for scheduled maintenance. Due to different treatment methods, some customers noticed a change in the taste and scent of the water during the shutdown. However, as of March 5 normal supplies have been restored and customers should notice a lower chlorine presence.

The Rancho Las Virgenes Composting Facility is closing for maintenance. Supplies still available on Saturdays until further notice, “stock up” now for the spring and summer growing season.

The Las Virgenes – Triunfo Joint Powers Authority meeting scheduled for January 2 has been postponed to Monday, January 9. In addition, LVMWD’s offices will be closed Friday, December 30 and Monday, January 2. The Compost Facility will be closed Saturday, December 31.

In observation of the holidays, the Rancho Las Virgenes Compost Facility will be closed on the last two Saturdays of December. The free Community Compost Program will resume Saturday January 7.
